After graduating in Pharmacy from the Sorbonne University in Paris, Dr. Adriano Fayaud founded Esperis. Upon moving to Italy, he dedicated his life to researching natural ingredients and studying their cosmetic and cosmeceutical applications.
Following the passing of Dr. Fayaud in 1970, leadership was passed to his niece, Antoinette Rossi, who continued the company’s growth while upholding its founding values.
Starting in the 1950s, Esperis opened a number of distilleries to extract essential oils typical of various Italian regions, creating a supply chain that showcases the region’s botanical excellence and helps to boost local economies.
In 2004, the leadership of Esperis passed to Antoinette’s grandson, Pierre Rossi, the current President and representative of the family’s third generation. Today, the fourth generation is also actively involved in the company, represented by his daughters Laura and Antonella Rossi in their roles as Managing Directors. Strengthening the company’s path of growth and development, Andrea Mangiacavalli joined as General Manager in 2021.
In the post-war era, Esperis played an active role in Milan’s industrial expansion, cementing its reputation as a trusted partner in the industry.
After 86 years at its historic headquarters in Via Binda 29, Milan, Esperis is embarking on a new chapter by moving to Trezzano sul Naviglio, to a modern facility in the Milanese hinterland.

In December 2024, we moved to Trezzano sul Naviglio, marking an important chapter in our history.
