Plant extracts are medicinal-plant preparations, in other words plants containing active ingredients that have various properties and can be used in a range of different ways. In cosmetics they can have a toning and restorative effect due to the presence of amino acids, vitamins, pectin and trace minerals.
Depending on what carrier is used, plant extracts come under a number of different categories. Glycolic extracts are obtained by extraction using propylene glycol.
Glycerine extracts are obtained with vegetable glycerine. Both involve expert use of temperature and dynamics.
Hydroglycolic and hydroglycerine extracts, on the other hand, are obtained through a solvent mixture extraction (propylene glycol + water in the first case and vegetable glycerine +water in the second).
Fat-soluble extracts are extracted either with vegetable oils or with other solvents (triglycerides etc.). This process can take up to a few weeks.
Recent years have seen the addition of dried plant extracts, which have a higher concentration of active ingredients meaning that smaller doses can be used.
Esperis produces plant extracts from medicinal herbs and plants. These include:
- HORMO FRUIT and DERMO FRUIT concentrated juices, with toning and restorative properties due to their high doses of amino acids, vitamins, pectin, essential oils and trace minerals.
- SKIN HERBAL COCKTAILS, with a synergy of similar cosmetic properties.
