Argan oil has anti-oxidant properties and is great at softening, hydrating and really boosting elasticity. With E vitamins and a range of essential fatty acids, it boosts cellular activity, tones the face, and reduces the appearance of fine lines. It also brightens, softens and smooths skin, helps conceal dark circles, and reduces skin irritability. Its fantastic anti-oxidant content means Argan oil helps protect the skin from external aggressors (such as sun, smog, wind, heavy metals, and other toxic substances the skin breathes in, ingests and absorbs). By improving skin hydration, Argan oil is able to increase the skin’s defences and its elasticity; all oil/water emulsion-based products are suitable for this as the large quantities of polyunsaturated fatty acids, ceramides and hygroscopic substances mean that water is absorbed and retained. Argan oil is excellent for treating brittle nails and protecting them against external aggressors.
It can be used on dry lips to soften them and remove any dead skin, and it is also an excellent treatment for dry, brittle, hair that lacks shine and vitality. Warm a few drops of oil in the palm of your hand, then very gently rub into the hair and leave in for an hour before washing out. It can also be used on breasts to keep the skin supple.
